It appears as if a vulnerability has been uncovered in a very commonly used image resizing utility called TimThumb. TimThumb dynamically resizes images making them fit more appropriately into different blog’s layouts. Having TimThumb installed can open your website up to attack in the form of hackers being able to process PHP code on your website itself, giving them access to upload images, and more.

This is usually done in conjunction with selling a product, usually an eBook or other course on how to get rich with Google Adsense. People will sometimes show their Google Adsense earnings screens at the beginning of a course to show how successful their method is and why you should use it. Be careful, and don’t buy into the hype. Everyone wants an easy income stream, but most of the earning screens that you’ll be seeing are faked.

Aptly put on Google’s +1 homepage, ‘The +1 button is shorthand for “this is pretty cool” or “you should check this out.”‘

Going a bit further, it’s defined as: Click +1 to publicly give something your stamp of approval. Your +1′s can help friends, contacts, and others on the web find the best stuff when they search.

Essentially, when you +1 something you’re placing a little sticky note on it so that whenever any of your friends happen upon the link or website, it will say “John Smith +1′d this”. I’m going to track this to see if it has any impact on my overall positioning in the SERPs (search engine results pages).

It’s my belief that SEO for Bellingham has to be a little more subtle. Whereas in New York City web searchers might be comfortable with spammy websites and webpages designed for the sole purpose of SEO, in Bellingham, I believe potential customers may just leave your website and go elsewhere. For this reason I recommend light visual on-site SEO. By ‘visual on-site SEO’ I’m referring to those elements that the reader can actually see throughout the normal course of visiting a website. For instance, this post is directly targeting the term ‘SEO Bellingham WA‘. This is evident by the title and the repetition of the keyword phrase within the text. With that being said, I’m trying not to overdue it in order to keep the text legible and flowing. In addition to this, this post contains useful content for the reader, not random gibberish that would force the reader to think, ‘what is he getting at?’

To sum up, keep your on-site SEO for your local Bellingham WA business discreet. Provide quality content, not spammy, SEO rich, useless verbiage. Try to think, ‘if I were to be reading this post, would I read the entire thing?’ If the answer is no, then rethink your post / page / SEO strategy. Some keyword terms are difficult to fit into the sentence format, for instance the keyword which I’m targeting, ‘SEO Bellingham WA’. The reason I’m targeting this is because it is a search term that could be used by a potential client. With that being said, it is difficult to have the term flow naturally in a sentence. For that reason, I don’t force it where it doesn’t belong. I take subtle steps as to not throw off the reader with random words that have no meaning.
